Library

The library of the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is a specialist library with non-circulating holdings open to art historians, curators, students, and members of the public interested in art. Borrowing is only possible in exceptional situations and by agreement.

Holdings

The library has over 35.000 publications. The main focus is on exhibition catalogues, supplemented by encyclopedias, specialist literature, electronic and audiovisual media, and a continuous journal inventory of ca. twenty periodicals. The basis for the development of the collection is primarily our continuous document exchange with over one hundred institutions in Germany and abroad.

Research

Some 15.000 titles are indexed and searchable in the Verbundkatalog K10plus von GBV und SWB (GBV and SWB's K10plus union catalogue).
